Zorin Linux

I installed Zorin. It had Aisleriot and Mahjongg installed as default. That was a plus. The download and installation went very quickly and smoothly.

I was able to switch to the Mate Desktop and install all the browsers I wanted. I had to install the Synaptic Package Manager but it went smoothly also. So far all the default apps and apps I added work without a hassle.

I would recommend it to anyone that wants a flavor that works out of the box.

My Linux Experiences. First post.

I’m going to start blogging about my Linux experiences. I’ve been using various flavors of Linux for almost 20 years now. I started using Linux when Windows was 98SE and I kept getting the dreaded blue screen of death.

My first flavor was SUSE. I bought a copy and installed it. I was pretty dumb back then. I called my internet provider to fined out how I could log on with Suse. They said they didn’t support Linux. I didn’t know it but SUSE was already using the internet.

I prefer the Mate desktop and I like to play Mahjongg and Aisleriot when I’m bored so my evaluation will be based on whether or not I can install them on the Distros deskstop.
